Which Medicube Moisturiser Should You Buy?
By the Medicube Reviews editorial team · product data refreshed 29 October 2026 · how we rank
We have not tested the products in this guide. Everything here is read from the listings, the published ingredient lists and what buyers report, not from hands-on use. What that means.
Which Medicube moisturiser should you buy? Most of the range is built on two textures, the light jelly creams and the richer capsule creams, each sold in several versions named after a different ingredient. This guide compares every Medicube cream, moisturiser and balm we track, reads the published ingredient lists, and picks the best Medicube moisturiser for oily skin, dry skin, dark spots, firmness and sensitive skin.
We track 12 Medicube creams and moisturisers on Amazon.co.uk; 11 of them have a full published ingredient list, and every list-based figure below comes from those.
Which Medicube moisturiser should you buy?
Choose the texture for your skin type first and the named ingredient second: the texture decides how a moisturiser feels on your face far more than the ingredient on the front of the jar. These are the best-rated Medicube creams for each need:
- Oily and combination skin: Medicube Jelly Cream with Collagen & Niacinamide. Niacinamide sits 9th of 48 on its list.
- Dry skin: Medicube Deep Vitamin C Golden Capsule Face Moisturiser. Vitamin C sits 39th of 61 on its list; gluconolactone sits 31st.
- Dark spots and uneven tone: Medicube Capsule Cream with TXA & Niacinamide for After Spot. Niacinamide sits 3rd of 62 on its list; no fragrance listed.
- Firmness and bounce: Medicube Triple Collagen Cream for Hydrating & Firming. Collagen sits 18th of 67 on its list.
- Sensitive or reactive skin: Medicube Salmon DNA PDRN Pink Collagen Capsule Cream, Face Moisturiser. PDRN sits 25th of 59 on its list; no fragrance listed.

Where the named ingredient sits in each Medicube cream
Of the 9 Medicube creams and moisturisers named after an ingredient whose full list we read, 6 carry that ingredient in the front half of their own list and 3 in the back half. The front half is where the bulk of a formula sits; the back half holds the supporting ingredients.
Named ingredient highest on its own list:
- Capsule Cream with TXA & Niacinamide for After Spot: niacinamide, 3rd of 62
- PDRN Pink Collagen Volume Multi Balm Stick: collagen, 3rd of 33
- Jelly Cream with Collagen & Niacinamide: niacinamide, 9th of 48
Named ingredient lowest on its own list:
- Exosome Cica Tea Tree Cream: centella (cica), 38th of 57
- Jelly Cream with Hyaluronic Acid: hyaluronic acid, 34th of 53
- Deep Vitamin C Golden Capsule Face Moisturiser: vitamin C, 39th of 61
Which Medicube creams and moisturisers list no fragrance?
6 of the 11 Medicube creams and moisturisers with a published ingredient list show no fragrance on it:
- Salmon DNA PDRN Pink Collagen Capsule Cream, Face Moisturiser
- PDRN Pink Collagen Volume Multi Balm Stick
- Jelly Cream with Hyaluronic Acid
- Capsule Cream with TXA & Niacinamide for After Spot
- 3H Daily Relief Cream for All Skin Types
- Exosome Cica Tea Tree Cream
No fragrance on the list is not the same as no scent: plant extracts and oils can carry a smell of their own. It does mean no added fragrance blend is declared.
Medicube creams and moisturisers with a retinoid the title doesn't mention
One of the 11 Medicube creams and moisturisers with a published list contains a retinoid that the Amazon listing title does not mention:
- PDRN Pink Collagen Volume Multi Balm Stick: retinol, 9th of 33
It sits in the front half of the list, so treat it as a retinoid product. It still matters if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or already using a prescription retinoid. Our list of Medicube products with retinol covers every format we track.
Jelly cream or capsule cream: which Medicube texture suits your skin
Jelly creams suit oily, combination and dehydrated skin; capsule creams and balms suit dry skin and colder months. A jelly cream is a water-heavy gel that sinks in fast and leaves little behind, which is why it sits well under makeup and in humid weather. A capsule cream carries small beads that break as you spread it, so it feels richer and leaves more of a cushion on the skin.
Balms and sticks sit at the far end: little or no water, mostly oils and waxes, made for dry patches and spot use around the eyes, lips and neck rather than a whole face every night.
Your skin type is a better guide than the ingredient in the name. Oily skin that feels tight after cleansing is dehydrated rather than dry, and a jelly cream is usually enough. Skin that flakes or feels rough by the afternoon wants the oils in a richer cream to hold water in.
What the named ingredient changes in a Medicube cream
The named ingredient in a Medicube cream changes less than the label suggests, because the base does most of the moisturising. Water, glycerin and other humectants fill the first places on most lists, with oils and emollients close behind, and the vitamin C, PDRN or collagen on the front often arrives much later.
That is not a reason to skip them. It means you can choose a cream on texture and skin type with a clear conscience and treat the named ingredient as a bonus. A serum is the better place for a real dose of an active.
How to use a Medicube moisturiser in your routine
Use a Medicube moisturiser as the last step at night and the step before sunscreen in the morning. Apply it to skin that is still slightly damp from toner or serum, since humectants hold more water when there is water to hold.
In the morning a jelly cream sits better under sunscreen and makeup. At night a richer capsule cream has time to work without pilling under anything else, which is why combination skin often does well with one of each.
Who should skip which Medicube creams and moisturisers
Every product we read in full has a note on who it does not suit. These are the notes for the creams and moisturisers not picked above:
- PDRN Pink Collagen Volume Multi Balm Stick: You are buying it for the PDRN. There is no salmon DNA entry on this list.
- Jelly Cream with Hyaluronic Acid: You want a true barrier-repair cream after over-exfoliation or a compromised barrier. The ceramide here sits too low in the list to be the main event.
- Salmon DNA PDRN Pink Hyaluronic Moisturizing Cream: You react to fragrance. It sits 22nd of 58 in a leave-on cream.
- Zero Pore One-Day Cream: You want real BHA action on congested pores. Salicylic acid at 26th of 61 is a garnish position.
- PDRN Collagen Gua Sha Neck Wrinkle Cream: You buy on ingredients. There is no list to read.
- 3H Daily Relief Cream for All Skin Types: You chose it for guaiazulene, the blue calming molecule. We could not find it on the published list.
Common questions
Do Medicube creams and moisturisers contain fragrance?
Some do. 5 of the 11 with a published ingredient list include fragrance and 6 do not. The ones without it are listed in the fragrance section above.
Which Medicube moisturiser is best for oily skin?
A jelly cream. It hydrates without leaving an oily film and is light enough to wear under sunscreen. The oily-skin pick at the top of this page is the best-rated option for that need.
Which Medicube moisturiser is best for dry skin?
A capsule cream, with a balm on the driest patches. Look for oils and butters among the first ten ingredients, not only glycerin and water.
Can a Medicube moisturiser replace sunscreen?
No. A cream without an SPF on the pack gives no tested sun protection, so finish your morning routine with a separate sunscreen.
Is a jelly cream enough on its own in winter?
For oily skin it often is. For normal or dry skin a jelly cream alone can feel thin once the heating goes on, so switch to a capsule cream at night or press a thin layer of balm over the jelly cream on dry areas.
