What the ingredient order actually tells you

• For once the top of the list matches the top of the label. Caffeine sits second and collagen third of 33, with sodium hyaluronate fifth, behind only water.
• The PDRN the name leads with is not on the list. There is no salmon DNA entry among the 33. What occupies that role instead is the NAD family: nicotinamide mononucleotide 12th, adenosine triphosphate 13th and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide 14th. Related energy chemistry, a different molecule, and the name does not tell you that.
• Retinol sits ninth, which is worth knowing for a stick sold for under-eye and neck use. Sea buckthorn oil at fourth gives the balm its slip.
• Fourteen peptide entries run from 20th to 33rd, so the peptide language on the packaging describes the bottom half of the formula rather than the working part of it.
• No fragrance entry appears, which matters more than usual for something you press directly onto skin and reapply through the day.
